Gabriella was bored. It was quite an unusual feeling for her, because most of the time, she always found herself doing something, whether it was reading a new book, watching and singing along to her favorite musicals, solving chemistry equations, updating her blog, or her favorite of all, spending time with Troy Bolton. But now it was summer, she'd read all of the books in her to-read list to pass time, she'd probably watched every single musical in her collection, she wasn't tutoring anyone today, her internet connection was going on a frenzy for some reason, and she knew Troy was probably having basketball practice. It would be almost funny to think as if the odds weren't in her favor this time, and that it had been incidental that she was out of things to do. She'd even do her chores if it meant doing something rather than nothing.
She'd tried her cellphone; apparently no one on her buddy list was free-- Taylor had gone momentarily to pay a visit to her grandparents, Martha had gone on a lunch date with one of the Wildcats, Kelsi was busy discussing a possible music scholarship in Robards, and Sharpay-well, she was Sharpay after all. Gabriella gave out a sigh, as she'd given up on finding things to do, that she'd rather sleep. As her eyes were about to drift her away to dreamland, she'd suddenly remembered the one hotspot. She quickly rushed downstairs, grabbed her wallet, kissed her mom goodbye, got the keys to the minivan and pulled off the driveway.
As Gabriella reached Starbucks, she pulled over the minivan in luckily a nice parking spot, and entered the coffee shop. Gabriella timidly walked to the counter, as she flashed a sweet smile to the already stunned barista as he saw Gabriella.
"One Chocolate Chip Frappe please, tall." She'd told the barista. Gabriella opted to order something simple, as opposed to what other people were used to order, adding mountains of toppings and all. As she'd gotten her drink, she decided to sit by one of those chairs by the window, so that Gabi could get a good view who was coming in the cafe, hopefully they could see her so that she wouldn't be so alone.
