Ryan could feel his hand sweating in Sharpay's light grip, just following her wordlessly as he battled inside his own head, trying to add things up in his head that just didn't seem to make any logical sense to him. He'd been awkward before around people, this was nothing new given his track record around most people, but he had not reason to be nervous and sweaty around his sister of all people, his twin sister.
He just let out another sigh, feeling the uncomfortable feeling of his fingers sweating, knowing full well that she'd be able to feel that by now, but however seemed to be doing her best at ignoring him, given she had yet to look at him since they had left her room. He swallowed over the dry lump of nervousness forming in his throat, knowing deep down that he'd really prefer if she ignored him, but by the same token he couldn't quite figure out why her gaze seemed to be so directly diverted from him.
The only thing that he could understand was that they were being awkward around each other, but then again it made more sense than not. They hadn't properly spoken with one another before today since... as he pondered and walked he still had yet to place a time when they had talked seriously once the start of summer was upon them. They were just getting used to each other again that was all, soon it would be just like it always was.
"Did the walk get longer?" He finally piped up jokingly, feeling as if they had really been walking forever, which only helped to magnify the awkward he was feeling, walking around in near silence. He chuckled softly to himself as the room came into his view. "I swear it didn't used to be so far away." He continued, hoping that if he just kept making pointless prattle it would help them get back to normal, god willing.

Sharpay was trying to ignore the way Ryan's hand feel in hers, she could feel him sweating which was something that was odd to her. Through all the years that she has held his hand, only now did he react this way. Did that mean he was nervous? She was trying not to over-think it, maybe he was just starting to get used to being around her again. After all, they had not talked since god knows when, and it was only now that they are trying to go back to their normal routine, as brother and sister.
She still kept her gaze away from him, she knew she couldn't look him in the eyes just yet, not while she is still holding his hand. She wouldn't admit it to him of course and she doesn't even want to admit it to herself, but she couldn't deny that she was loving the way his warm hand felt on hers, she did not even mind if it was sweaty or not. It was actually making her smile in the slightest, and she couldn't let him see that. What would he think?
The silence was deafening as they walked towards the rehearsal room because of all the staff being at the party, which was the reason why when Ryan spoke up, it made her jumped slightly. "I know," she looked at Ryan finally, grinning at his joke. "It seems longer when there are no people here," she turned away from him again as she saw the rehearsal room in the corner of her eye. "Well here it is, finally." She let go of his hand for a while and pushed open the doors to the rehearsal room, then turned to wink at Ryan.
"Let's see if you can still keep up with me, Jazzsquare," she said in her teasing tone, sticking her tongue out at him as she walked into the rehearsal room, trying not to think about how she missed the feeling of his hand on hers.

As soon as Sharpay let go of his hands again, Ryan began furiously wiping his hands on his pants, hoping that she wouldn't turn around, she might just get it in her head that her brother was mentally unstable, or crazy, and while he was starting to think that he could possibly be suffering from these afflictions, he didn't need her to assume that, not when he really had no reasonable idea as to why he was suddenly behaving like a nut job. "Yeah," He started with a slight half-hearted reply. "I can keep up," He muttered softly to himself feeling his confidence and resolve slowly faltering as he forced a smile onto his face and followed her into the rehearsal room.
"You think..." He pretended to sputter in mock offense, knowing that if he could keep her mind on the competitive aspect, she might not ask why he was behaving so strangely, and it might keep his mind off all the wild speculations for why she was behaving... he couldn't place the word, so he too would have to just settle for different once more. "You think I can't keep up?" He asked as he crossed his arms over his chest and let out a nonchalant chuckle, trying to keep his heart rate as slow as possible, even though he had the strangest feeling his was slowly being betrayed as he felt a slow heat creep into his ears.
"You couldn't beat me even if you wanted to." He chuckled out, sticking his tongue out in the similar fashion that she had to him, knowing that they weren't always the most mature, but at least they were evenly matched in their levels of immaturity. He shook his head in slightly contempt, hoping to further mock her as he let out a slight amused sound, slowly leaning against one of the mirrors as he stretched one of his arms aimlessly, right now the only sound filling his ears was the painful sound of his heart beating in his ears as he let a slow breath out. "I think you've lost your touch sis," He started again slowly as he looked over at her, the playful gaze running rampant on his face. "Normally by now you'd have me intimidated in someway, but I think you're too soft now." He finished, hoping that if he joked and teased her more he could take away all these confusions he was feeling, all it would take is a few more minutes like that.

Sharpay turned around as soon as she heard her brother mocking her once more, at that moment she could feel that they were slowly going back to their normal routine as brother and sister, though there's still that strange feeling that she still couldn't figure out, something that makes thinking about being brother and sister feel a little bit weird. She shook her head slightly as she returned her attention to Ryan, returning the mocking chuckle to him. Maybe it would be fun to play along, she thought. So she showed him the face that he was probably so used to seeing whenever they rehearse.
"I know I could beat you if I wanted to," she said, taking slow steps towards Ryan, crossing her arms over her chest. If he wants intimidation, he will get intimidation, she thought, as she raised an eyebrow at him, her lips turning to her famous mischievous grin. "I'm just starting to get back to my normal self, Ry," she took another step closer to him, "but really soon, you'll see the old Sharpay, no worries." She chuckled once again, now placing her hand on her hips.
She continued moving closer to Ryan, and as she did, she felt her weird heart beat racing once again. As she neared him, she put on her most intimidating face, and once she was standing closely in front of him, she smirked. "Oh, am I too soft now, Ry?" she asked. She was glad to be wearing heels once again, she wouldn't look too intimidating if he was at least 5 inches taller than her. "We'll see who's the boss...and well, we both know the older one is, by default, the boss." She smirked at him, and with her hands still on her hips, she leaned closer to him until she could smell his scent. And what she thought would be a winning intimidating move, only now felt like the wrong move that would make her weak.
